Ronnie co-founded HRJ Capital in 1999, when he and co-founder Harris Barton successfully raised their first fund of funds, focusing on the venture capital sector. Ronnie and Harris followed their model with a successful expansion of HRJ Capital's investment strategy into the buy-out, hedge, real estate and special opportunities sectors. Ronnie began his investment experience in 1984 as an early investor with Crosspoint Venture Partners and has built on the Crosspoint relationship and extended it throughout the Sand Hill Road venture capital community as well as to an extensive network of manager contacts within the greater financial services community at large, including the leveraged buy-outs and hedge fund sectors. Ronnie is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration.


Harris co-founded HRJ Capital in 1999, when he and co-founder Ronnie Lott successfully raised their first fund of funds, focusing on the venture capital sector. Harris and Ronnie followed their model with a successful expansion of HRJ Capital's investment strategy into the buy-out, hedge, real estate and special opportunities sectors. Harris became a public and private equity investor during his football career, investing in both publicly traded stocks and private equity partnerships, most notably Sequoia Capital in the venture capital arena, beginning with Sequoia Capital VII in the early 90's. The relationships he developed in that process have been instrumental in building the network of top-tier fund managers throughout the financial services industry available to HRJ Capital. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.

Ed Rodden, CEO
Ed serves as Chief Executive Officer and oversees the general operations of the firm. Prior to joining HRJ Capital, Ed worked at Charles Schwab & Co. for 12 years where he held a series of senior management positions -- including head of corporate strategy, head of retail marketing, and head of the affluent client business. Prior to joining Schwab, Ed worked at McKinsey &Co. in their San Francisco office specializing in financial services firms. Ed began his financial services career at Chase Manhattan Bank working on Asian institutional relationships in New York, Hong Kong and Bombay. Ed holds a B.A. from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School and received his MBA from Stanford University.


Jeff serves as the Chief Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for HRJ Capital. From 2001 through 2007, Jeff served as Chief Financial Officer at HRJ Capital. Previously he was Chief Financial Officer of Storm Ventures, a venture capital firm focusing on the communications and information technology sector. Prior to his experience in the financial services industry, Jeff was a partner with the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati ("WSGR"), specializing in the formation and operation of venture capital funds and other private investment vehicles. Prior to joining WSGR, Jeff practiced as a tax attorney in New York at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, specializing in formation and operation of private equity investment funds, including hedge, leverage buy-out and real estate investment funds. Jeff received his Bachelor's Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a joint J.D. Degree and L.L.M. in taxation degree from the New York University Schoolof Law.
