Cory joined HRJ Capital in 2004 as Director of Finance responsible for overseeing the financial reporting of the investment funds and the operations of the management company. Previously, he worked at VantagePoint Venture Partners, a direct VC investor in San Bruno, CA and Bowman Capital, a long-short equity hedge fund in San Mateo, CA. Cory holds B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University.

Shelbi joined HRJ Capital in 2004 and is responsible for the fund accounting and financial reporting functions. Previously, she worked at Deloitte & Touche as a senior auditor, specializing in serving venture capital, construction and technology clients. Shelbi holds a B.A. in Business Management Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and is currently licensed as a CPA in California.

Kelli joined HRJ Capital in 2007 and is responsible for fund accounting and financial reporting functions. Prior to joining HRJ, she worked at Ernst & Young as an auditor specializing in financial services clients. She holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of Michigan and received her Masters in Accounting from The University of Michigan Business School. Kelli is currently licensed as a CPA in Illinois and California.

Valerie joined HRJ Capital in 2007 and is responsible for fund accounting and financial reporting functions. Prior to joining HRJ, she worked at Deloitte & Touche as an auditor specializing in venture capital, consumer business and not-for-profit clients. Valerie also has over 15 years of telecommunications experience, working for such companies as Sprint, MCI and XO Communications in the areas of network planning, service provisioning, regulatory and customer care. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from San Francisco State University and is currently licensed as a CPA in California.

Matt joined HRJ Capital in 2007 and is responsible for fund accounting and financial reporting functions. Prior to joining HRJ, he worked at Deloitte & Touche as an auditor specializing in financial services clients. Matt holds a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Maria joined HRJ Capital in July 2007 as the Management Company Accountant. Her previous experience includes various accounting positions in both large and small companies. Maria holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from San Jose State University.

Linda joined HRJ Capital in February 2007. Previously she was an associate at the law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR), specializing in the formation of venture capital funds. Before joining WSGR, Linda practiced securities law at Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin in San Francisco, specializing in the formation and operation of private investment funds. Prior to that, Linda started her law career at Seward & Kissel in New York, specializing in the formation and operation of mutual funds and hedge funds and the representation of investment advisers. Linda received her B.A. from Columbia College, Columbia University and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the California and New York state bars.

Michael joined HRJ Capital in 2008 and is responsible for managing the firm’s global technology infrastructure and direction. Previously, Michael served as VP IT Operations at Corevera, managing the engineering staff and providing CIO level IT process and planning services to venture capital, private equity and biotech firms throughout the greater Bay Area. Michael has over 15 years of diverse technology experience working with firms ranging from startups to Fortune 500 corporations. Michael holds an Associate’s Degree in Chemistry from Marion Military Institute and studied Microbiology at Auburn University. Michael’s technical certifications include Cisco Certified Network Associate and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Michael is a fluent Spanish speaker, a conversational French speaker, a technophile and an avid college football fan.

Matt joined HRJ Capital's hedge fund team in June 2007 as an Operations Analyst. Prior to joining HRJ Capital, Matt was a Senior Investor Services Representative with HSBC Alternative Fund Services. At HSBC, he performed many administrative and operational tasks for various hedge funds and fund of funds. Matt started his career at The Vanguard Group as a Client Service Specialist in their mutual fund and brokerage departments. He holds a B.A. in Management with a minor in Economics from Gettysburg College. Matt was also a four year letter winner for the Gettysburg College Football Team from 2000-2003.

Renee joined HRJ Capital in October 2007. She supports Darren Wong as an Executive Assistant. Prior to joining HRJ Capital, Renee worked for Genomic Health for two years as an executive assistant to the COO. Preceding Genomic Health, Renee spent four years holding various positions as an executive assistant at A.T. Kearney Procurement Solutions supporting the VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, and the interim COO. Renee supports Nordstrom’s during their breast cancer events as a certified prosthesis fitter to help raise awareness for breast cancer and has been presented with an “All Star” award for outstanding customer service and dedication. Renee has been a notary public for the state of California since 1989.

Adrienne joined HRJ Capital in January 2008. Previously, she worked as an Analyst for a health care and life sciences consulting group. Adrienne holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University.

Vanessa joined HRJ Capital in 2003 as the assistant to Harris Barton and Joe Montana, and now also supports Jeffrey Bloom. Before joining HRJ, she worked at Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard supporting various directors for a combined 5 years. Prior to joining Sun, she worked at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, as a legal secretary to two real estate attorneys. Vanessa has been a Notary Public of the State of California since 2004.

Monica joined HRJ Capital in 2006 as the Executive Assistant to Ronnie Lott.  Before joining HRJ, Monica worked at Offit Hall Capital Management LLC as the Executive Assistant to Daniel W. Offit, Managing Director for 4 years and as Office Manager and Executive Assistant to Daniel W. Offit at OFFITBANK for 3 years.  Prior to joining OFFITBANK, Monica was the Executive Assistant to Edward J. DeBartolo Jr. at DeBartolo Entertainment.  Monica has been a Notary Public of the State of California since 1996.

Korina joined HRJ in 2007. Korina supports Monica Gonzalez, Executive Assistant to Ronnie Lott. Previously, Korina worked as a Loan Processor for Creative Loans & Realty. Prior to that, she worked as a Personal Banker for Wells Fargo Bank for over two years.

Kristine joined Olympius Capital in 2005 as assistant to Jennifer Coffey. Effective July 1, 2006 she joined HRJ Capital in a similar role. Prior to HRJ she served as an assistant to Jeffery and Jeanne Levy-Hinte in New York City managing their construction projects, staff world-wide and organizing their special events. Prior to Levy-Hinte, Kristine ran her own special events company for several years in New York City. Prior to that, she worked as assistant to Michael Donovan, founding partner of the award winning multi-disciplinary design firm Donovan/Green. Prior to Donovan/ Green she worked as the assistant to Howard Menken and studio manager for Menken Studios a leading commercial photography studio in New York City. Kristine began her career in Chicago over-seeing catering in the gourmet department of Neiman Marcus. She has studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and Parsons School of Design in New York.

Mary Ann joined HRJ in January 2007. Mary Ann supports Howard Fields and Andrew James as their Executive Assistant. Prior to HRJ, she worked for Intelistaf Healthcare's corporate office as a Training Coordinator. She also worked for the United States Navy, Great Lakes Naval Station, as a Training Instructor. Prior to that, she served in the United States Air Force for 4 years as a Data Analyst/Database Manager. Mary Ann holds an AAS in Management and a B.S in Workforce Training and Development from Southern Illinois University.

Andrea joined HRJ Capital's Zurich office in 2007. She supports the Zurich team as an Executive Assistant in addition to handling administrative duties as Office Manager. Andrea worked at the life insurance company Swiss Life/Rentenanstalt as an Executive Assistant to the Head of Investor Relations and the Head of Swiss Life Network. Prior to that she worked as an Events Manager for Mercedes-Benz. Andrea also has extensive experience in the travel industry where she worked for several years. Andrea speaks German, English and French.

Wendy joined HRJ Capital in 2006 as the assistant to Edward Rodden. Prior to HRJ, Wendy oversaw office operations and administration for Pacific Venture Partners. Prior to that, she served as Office Manager and Executive Assistant for Highland Capital Partners. Prior to Highland, Wendy supported the Internet research group at Robertson Stephens. Prior to that, she served as Executive Assistant to the CEO and CFO of Hearing Science, a venture-backed private company. Wendy holds a Certificate in Business Administration from UC Berkeley Extension, a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College and is a commissioned notary.

Katrina joined HRJ Capital in 2007. She supports Chris Hecht, Edward Kim, Peter Notz and Tina Chen. Previously, Katrina worked as an Administrative Assistant at Liquid Digital media in Redwood City, CA. Prior to that, she worked as a receptionist/administrative assistant for First American Title in Redwood City and then Menlo Park.
